Families of Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) now have a new resource to navigate their K-12 journey. Called Destination Graduation, this new microsite on vbschools.com offers grade-level overviews pertaining to the subjects that students study, assessments given and links to a multitude of resources offered by the school division.

“This interactive resource was developed solely with our students and families in mind,” said Dr. Aaron Spence, VBCPS superintendent. “We hope this site will help aid them in learning what to expect at each new grade level and how they can maximize their school experience with us by accessing a multitude of division resources and programs.”

In addition to K-12 information, the microsite also points families to prekindergarten (preK) resources and post-graduation planning. In the “Start Strong” section for preK students, families will find links to school division programs as well as local resources to help children enter kindergarten ready to learn.

Destination Graduation also links to the school division’s recently launched Academic and Career Planning microsite as well as to the VBCPS Graduate Profile, a set of eight attributes that the school division believes are critical for students to be ready for their future after high school.
