LHMS Gifted Scholar Parent Education Series

LMS Gifted Scholar Parent Education Series

I am happy to introduce the Lynnhaven Middle School’s Gifted Scholar Parent Education Series. The goal of these meetings is to provide ongoing professional development to parents to collaboratively meet the cognitive and affective needs of gifted learners. These meeting will give the parents of our LMS gifted scholars the opportunity to create a collaborative community to exchange information and advocate for gifted education.

All of the meetings will take place once a quarter on the third Tuesday in September, November, February, and May in the LHMS library from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The schedule of the series’ topics are as follows:

November 20 – I’m Not Weird, I’m Gifted: Understanding the Social and Emotional Needs of Your Gifted Scholar

February 19 – What It Means to Be 2E: How to Navigate the Unique World of Twice Exceptionality
