The Gifted Visual Arts Program curriculum integrates art history, criticism, aesthetic perception, creativity, theory, and skill development, as well as components from the core curriculum of knowledge. Studio and theory units focus on color & design, 2-D, 3-D, and innovation studies. An application, required drawings, and art teacher recommendation must be submitted by on or before February 1, 2019. Application materials are reviewed by the art faculty, and selected students are invited to a full day of testing. From this assessment, students are identified and invited to attend the Gifted Visual Arts Program. Application and Information Nights available at vbschools.com.
